The Standard Digital Memorial by digitalandstone will serve as a sacred space where you will be able to add content in the form of written stories, photos, videos, and links with the intention of memorializing yourself or your loved one. Once you have added a sufficient amount of content, you can share the link to your Digital Memorial and Tree of Life with family and friends. Anyone you share the link with can view all of your contributions to the Digital Memorial as well as add their own memories by using the Share a Memory feature, further growing the Tree of Life and populating the sacred space.
Your Standard Digital Memorial consists of 4 pages. Below are detailed descriptions of each page:
1. Digital Memorial:
The Digital Memorial (DM) is the main page of the Memorial. It is a collection of contributions made by you as well as the family and friends you have invited. This page is populated by the information you add to the Digital Memorial Manager and is split into different elements of a person’s life such as Family, Childhood, or Vocation. Visit this page first as we have populated it with placeholder text in the hopes that it will allow you to experience the layout as well as inspire you to write your own content.
2. Digital Memorial Manager:
The Digital Memorial Manager (DMM) is the form you fill in to populate the different sections of the Digital Memorial. Matching the Digital Memorial layout, the DMM is split into the different elements of a person’s life. The DMM can be visited and edited an unlimited number of times. With each edit, you must save the changes and can immediately visit the DM to review your updates. The Digital Memorial Manager is where you add all of your responses and watch them reflect not only onto the Digital Memorial but onto the Tree Of Life as well. Note: No one will be able to edit the DMM other than the user who purchased the package originally.
3. Share a Memory Page:
The Share a Memory Page is a form that you and the friends or family you invite can fill out an unlimited number of times to create a Memory Contribution. Fill in your name, a photo of yourself, the memory or story, and some significant photos, and submit. Once the Memory Contribution has been submitted it can not be edited so check your content before clicking submit. Memory Contributions submitted can be viewed on the Digital Memorial in the “Memories” section.
4. Tree of Life:
The Tree of Life (TOL) is a place where all the content you have added to the Digital Memorial Manager as well as the newest Memory Contributions are housed visually on a beautiful Digital Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is interactive, hover over a node on the tree to see what section that node will guide you to. Click on the node and be transported to that part of the Digital Memorial. Note: the nodes on the tree are images of the first photo you load into each section in the DMM.
